Rio Celeste from San Jose

Our guide, Miha, arrived very early to pick us up from the hotel, and from the very first moment it was an adventure. She explained the history of all of Costa Rica and gave us super interesting facts about each town we visited. Our first stop was a traditional breakfast at the Gran Parque restaurant, with food full of flavor, color, and history. We ate a gallo pinto with a fried egg, cheese, and coffee: simply delicious! I think that's the best way to describe it. I also had to try an empanada, something I saw and wanted to try, and wow, it was worth it. We continued our tour, exploring and getting to know different towns as we reached our destination. The weather was favorable, and the colors of the sky and the green of the flora created an image in my mind that I'll never forget. Upon arriving at our destination, we began with a smile from the park ranger (by the way, Ticos are always happy and very friendly). Miha then guided us through the forest, and we saw many animals: snakes, birds, a tapir, insects, and plants full of colors and aromas that awaken all the senses. Afterward, we arrived at the Teñidero, where the river's blue color comes from, and he explained the natural processes that occur there. Afterward, we had lunch again at a traditional restaurant with delicious food. We went to relax and swim in a section of the river where swimming is allowed. This water literally rejuvenates you; the minerals it contains fill you with energy. Upon returning, I realized we had spent 12 hours filled with incredible moments that will remain forever in my memory. I didn't even realize the time passed so quickly. You just don't want an experience like this to end. If you want to experience what I experienced, you definitely have to take this tour.

The trip to Río Celeste from San José was an unforgettable experience. Although the trip is a bit long, it's totally worth it for the beauty of the place. The color of the water is truly stunning, like something out of a fairy tale. The hike through the national park is moderate, with some challenging sections, but the scenery makes up for it all. Our guide, Miha, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area, always willing to answer questions and make sure everyone was comfortable. We were also lucky enough to see animals like monkeys and birds during the hike. The included lunch was delicious, with local options that we thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, it was a very well-organized day, with adequate timing and a great connection with nature. I highly recommend it for those who want to see one of the most magical places in Costa Rica.

Me gusto mucho la comida, el desayuno en el restaurante tipico es bueno, el almuerzo estuvo muy rico pero sobre todo me gusto el rio, desde la cascada el guia supo responder todas mis dudas con confianza y la temperatura del agua esta un poco fria pero muy Refrescante, es muy bueno nadar en el río, es increíble, también recomiendo esta excursión a las personas que les gusta el senderismo.
