EXCELLENT Based on 346 reviews Posted on Maxine PVerified Above and Beyond Abraham was an excellent guide and went above and beyond the planned tour. We would recommend this guide to anyone who wants to see this part of Costa Rica.Posted on William BVerified Chilly Volcano visit and Interesting Church We had an excellent guide, but unfortunately the weather did not cooperate. The temperature at the volcano peak was 42 F and very cloudy with practically zero visibility. We then visited the Basilica of Our Lady of the Angels, which honors the patron saint of Costa Rica, La Negrita. She was a virgin who discove a river that remarkably resembled the Virgin Mary holding Jesus. You can see this stone at the church.Posted on Leah ShoupVerified A little bit of everything! Our guide Abraham was very knowledgeable and professional! He brought us around in a very nice vehicle and drove us all over. The volcano crater is MASSIVE- the view was amazing! 100% wear something for cold weather - long sleeve and pants are a must. Our favorite part, besides the voclanco, was the beautiful restaraunt & coffee farm. The view was my favorite the entire trip of ours. The food was delicious and we loved that it was included with this tour. The ruins we went to was also really interesting and beautiful!Posted on Leslie BVerified Above and Beyond There was a mixup at my hotel and the bellhop got me on the wrong tour bus. This company went out of their way to try to retrieve me and make this right. That speaks volumes about the tour guide and the company. Just wanted to thank you all for the effort. Hate I didn't get to see the volcanoes. But you all tried.Posted on luis carlos burgosVerified Rich view of lush fauna On my trip to Costa Rica I went with a company that on recommendation I decided to meet her. Caravan.and my trip filled all my expectations of what I wanted to see and enjoy that wonderful landscape. Their hotels , food places visited and service very good.More than I expected for what I paid the guide Jose and driver Rolo very attentive.I have no complaint.Posted on Marco MVerified The best of the best It is an excellent tour and an excellent country! 100% worth it, we got a great experience. The agency is super attentive, exceeded all our expectations. We recommend it 10000%Posted on Robert KVerified Coffee, volcanos and waterfalls A fantastic day. Around 12 hours overall and well worth the money. Great organisation made everything really easy. The pick up from the hotel was on time and first stop was the coffee farm. Commentary en route was great from our guide, and made the drive fly by. The farm was beautiful and insightful and breakfast was a good plate. On to the Poas volcano. The weather was cloudy so our guide took us for a trail walk to allow time for the cloud to lift. The result was well worth the wait! Breath taking!A short drive to La Paz and our guide led us around the animal enclosures before lunch. Again, all well organised with reserved pre paid food. The day finished with the trail around the waterfalls.Overall I would highly recommend. The content showcases some of Costa Rica’s most beautiful areas. The team in the day (Gary and Nancy the guides, Rodrigo the driver) were fantastic!Posted on Sue RVerified Excellent experience what Costa Rica has to offer Well coordinated day tours from San Jose. Enough time to experience the attractions and friendly guides. The white water rafting and rainforest experiences were a highlightPosted on JCC1994Verified Costa Rica I would like to give an objective summary of my trip to Costa Rica, with Summer travel through Trip Advisor. Initially I wish to highlight the positive things, without a doubt Costa Rica is a very exotic destination and full of pleasant attractions, the people are very friendly and very responsive. My package was 7 Nights and 8 days, for a family group of 5 people, the transfer from the airport to the hotel did not present any inconvenience, one detail that we appreciate is that we were not placed in triple rooms, but in a double and two with king bed, something extremely practical for our logistics, however if I think it appropriate to comment that the assigned hotel, Delta Marriott San Jose, did not meet the international standard of 4 stars, as indicated by the package, if it had the facilities and services even to have maybe been 5 stars in the past, but the current state of the rooms never corresponded to those standards. We were assigned rooms on the 9th floor, they had a stale smell and damp on the carpets, you could tell that they were also very old and especially bad for allergic people, the bathtubs were notoriously percussed. One of the most important things when traveling is to have a pleasant room because you spend days with many activities and a comfortable rest is very important. When making the claim at the hotel we were told that they did indeed have rooms a little deteriorated but that they had started a remodeling process, I think it is very important that you verify the condition of the facilities and services they offer and that you should not overvalue the properties because they generate a false expectation and the client feels cheated, this hotel reaches barely 3 stars.Regarding the walks I think they are quite good, besides some of the guides especially Jairo and Lenny, they really know a lot what they are doing and entertain with their stories and anecdotes. The foods in general are fine, you have to be aware that Costa Rica is not a particularly known destination for being highly culinary, but on the day of the visit to the volcano Irazu, the restaurant where you went to lunch was not at all acceptable, I would suggest checking it for future occasions. Finally a final recommendation on long trips like Manuel Antonio and the suspension bridges would suggest using slightly larger transports for tourist comfort. Overall the destination and services are pleasant and I recommend them, although corrections should be made and these details consulted with the agency to avoid inconvenience.
