Our adventure begins at 6:00 a.m. from your hotel in San José. Pickup times may vary depending on your location and will be confirmed a day before.
We’ll stop for breakfast before heading to Tenorio Volcano National Park, where we’ll hike through the rainforest to the stunning turquoise waterfall.
Upon arrival at Tenorio Volcano National Park, our expert guide will lead the hike through lush rainforest trails. Along the way, we'll visit the impressive Río Celeste waterfall, a stunning natural wonder with its vibrant turquoise waters.
We'll continue to the Borbollones, where volcanic gases bubble up from the river, and then reach Los Teñideros, the magical spot where two clear rivers merge, creating the iconic blue color of Río Celeste.
After our adventure, we’ll head to Posada Río Celeste, a local restaurant known for its high quality cuisine and authentic flavors from the community.
Enjoy a delicious meal in a charming setting, surrounded by nature—the perfect way to recharge before our return journey.
To end our adventure, we’ll visit a private property where the stunning Río Celeste flows through a peaceful, natural setting. Unlike the national park, here you’ll have the unique opportunity to swim in its turquoise waters and fully enjoy this magical river.
Around 4:00 p.m., we’ll begin our journey back to San José. On the way, we’ll make a short stop in Caldera to enjoy a refreshing ice cream and take in the beautiful sunset by the ocean.
After this relaxing break, we’ll continue our trip, arriving in San José in the evening.
